About Flashcardly

The app

Flashcardly is a flashcard app for learning vocabulary, built on spaced repetition: every word comes back for review right before you would forget it. Each course has 184 short lessons of 12 words, and every word has a picture, audio and an example sentence. You can also make your own decks. The app teaches 29 languages and is free to download on iPhone and Android.

This website

Here you will find free flashcards in 22 languages, made from the same course as the app: word lists with audio, printable PDFs, and CSV files for Excel, Anki and Quizlet. You can also read how the learning method works and how we make our cards.

What we promise

• No account needed here. The flashcards, word lists and audio on this website are free to use without signing up.
• Free downloads. Every printable PDF and CSV file is free for personal and classroom use.
• No tracking cookies. Our website analytics are cookieless, don’t store your IP address, and respect Do Not Track. The details are in our cookie policy.
• Open about how it’s made. Some of our pictures and audio are made with AI. Read more: how we make our cards.
