Recognising meaning fast
Match words with their translations as quickly as you can. It trains the instant "I know that one" you need when someone is talking to you.

Understanding by ear
A memory game played with sound: listen and tap the matching pair. It trains you to recognise words when you hear them, not just when you see them.

Sentence Builder
Word order
Build a real example sentence from word tiles. Some rounds add a few extra tiles that don’t belong, so you have to think about which words fit.

Type It Out
Spelling from memory
Spell the word using letter tiles. Recalling every letter is harder than recognising a word, which is exactly why it helps.
Mixed Practice puts the modes together in one session. Lessons also end with an optional bonus round using one of these games, so new words get played with straight away.
Pick which words to practise
Practice uses words you've already learned. Choose a range with one tap (your last 5 or last 10 lessons, the first 30, or all of them), or pick any start and end lesson yourself.
With Pro you can switch the source to My Decks and practise the words you've added yourself, including AI decks. The games draw on cards you've studied at least once, so there's always something familiar to work with.

Which words do the games use?
Words from lessons you have completed. You choose the range: your last 5 or 10 lessons, the first 30, all of them, or any range you pick.
Are practice modes free?
Yes, with your lesson words, as often as you like. Playing them with your own decks is part of Pro.
Can I practise my own decks?
With Pro, yes. Switch the source from Lessons to My Decks and pick which decks to use. The games draw on cards you have studied at least once.
What is Mixed Practice?
A session that mixes the modes together, so you switch between reading, listening and spelling with the same set of words.
