ett or en?
Counting, 1 is ett. Before an en-word it is en: en bil, ett hus. Inside numbers it stays ett: tjugoett.
Big numbers in Swedish: hundreds, thousands, a million
hundra and tusen are often said without “ett”. Everything up to a million is one word: tvåtusen, hundratusen. A million is en miljon, a billion en miljard. Swedish writes 1 000 and 2,5.
