صُدَاع ṣudāʿ headache

الصداع ليس ممتعاً أبداً.

aṣ-ṣudāʿ laysa mumtiʿan abadan.

A headache is never fun.
حُمَّى ḥummā fever

لديه حمى شديدة.

Ladayhi ḥummā shadīdah.

He has a bad fever.
سَعَلَ saʿala cough

سُعالي لا يزول.

su'aalee laa yazool.

My cough is not going away.
اِحْتِقَانُ الحَلْق iḥtiqān al-ḥalq sore throat

تعاني ماري من احتقان الحلق.

tuʿānī mārī min iḥtiqāni l-ḥalq.

Marry has a sore throat.
سَيَلَانُ الأَنْف sayalān al-anf runny nose

ذلك سيلان الأنف.

Dhalika sayalaanu l-anf.

That is a runny nose.
دَائِخ dā'ikh dizzy

أشعر أنني دَائِخ بعد الدوران.

ash'uru annani da'ikh ba'da ad-dawaran.

I feel dizzy after spinning.
مَرِيض marīḍ sick

تشعر بأنها مريضة جداً اليوم.

tashʿur bi-annahā marīḍa jiddan al-yawm.

She feels very sick today.
دَوَاء dawāʾ medicine

لا تنس أن تأخذ دواءك.

La tansa an ta'khudha dawaa'ak.

Do not forget to take your medicine.
وَصْفَة طِبِّيَّة waṣfa ṭibbiyya prescription

هل هذه وصفتك الطبية يا سيدي؟

Hal hādhihi waṣfatuka aṭ-ṭibbiyya, yā sayyidī?

Is this your prescription, sir?
طَبِيب ṭabīb doctor

يُساعِد الطبيب الكثير من الناس.

yusāʿid aṭ-ṭabīb al-kathīr min an-nās.

A doctor helps a lot of people.
صَيْدَلِيَّة ṣaydaliyya pharmacy

نزور الصيدلية أحياناً.

nazuru as-saydaliyya ahyanan.

We visit the pharmacy sometimes.
عِيَادَة ʿiyādah clinic

جدي حالياً في العيادة.

Jaddī ḥāliyan fī al-ʿiyāda.

Grandpa is currently at the clinic.

عَطْسَة ʿaṭsah sneeze

كانت تلك العطسة عالية جداً.

kānat tilka l-ʿaṭsa ʿāliya jiddan.

That sneeze was very loud.
عَضَلَاتٌ مُتَأَلِّمَة ʿaḍalāt mutaʾallima sore muscles

سَبَّبَ تدريبي عضلات متألمة.

sabbaba tadrībī ʿaḍalāt mutaʾallimah.

My training caused sore muscles.
تَشَنُّج tashannuj cramp

تشنجات الساق هي الأسوأ.

tashannujāt as-sāq hiya al-aswa'.

Leg cramps are the worst.
تَصَلُّبُ الرَّقَبَة taṣallub ar-raqaba stiff neck

كيف أعالج تصلب الرقبة هذا؟

kayfa uʿālij taṣallub ar-raqaba hādhā?

How do I fix this stiff neck?
كَدْمَة kadma bruise

عندي كدمة كبيرة.

ʿindī kadma kabīra.

I have a big bruise.
أَلَمٌ فِي المَعِدَة alam fi al-ma'ida stomach ache

أَصَابَنِي ألم في المعدة أمس.

aṣābanī alamun fī al-maʿidah ams.

I got a stomach ache yesterday.
أَلَمُ أَسْنَان alam asnan toothache

ذلك ألم أسنان شديد.

Dhalika alam asnan shadid.

That is a bad toothache.
أَلَمُ الظَّهْرِ alam az-zahr back pain

تعاني جدتي من أَلَمِ الظَّهْرِ اليوم.

tuʿānī jaddatī min alami ẓ-ẓahri al-yawm.

Grandma has back pain today.
أَلَمُ أُذُن alam udhun earache

لديه ألم أذن الآن.

Ladayhi alamu udhunin al-aan.

He has an earache now.
إِرْهَاق irhāq exhaustion

يمكن أن يسبب عملك الإرهاق.

yumkin an yusabbiba ʿamaluka al-irhāq.

Your job can cause exhaustion.
حَسَاسِيَّة ḥasāsiyya allergy

تكون حساسيتي في أسوأ حالاتها في الربيع.

takūn ḥasāsiyatī fī aswa' ḥālātihā fi r-rabīʿ.

My allergy is the worst in spring.
يُؤْلِمُ yu'limu It hurts here.

بَكَى bakā cry

الطِّفْلُ الحَزِينُ يَبْكِي.

aṭ-ṭiflu l-ḥazīnu yabkī.

The sad child is crying.
سَقَطَ saqaṭa fall

تَسْقُطُ الفاكهةُ من الشجرة.

tasquṭu al-fākihatu min ash-shajarah

The fruit falls from the tree.
مَرِيض marīḍ ill

الطِّفْلُ مَرِيضٌ جِدّاً.

aṭ-ṭiflu marīḍun jiddan

The child is very ill.
بِخَيْر bikhayr fine

أَشْعُرُ أَنَّنِي بِخَيْر اليَوْم.

ash'uru annani bikhayr al-yawm.

I feel fine today.
قَطَعَ qaṭaʿa cut

هِيَ تَقْطَعُ الخُبْزَ.

hiya taqṭaʿu l-khubz

She cuts the bread.
ضِمَادَة ḍimādah bandage

وَضَعَ ضِمَادَةً عَلَى الجُرْحِ.

waḍaʿa ḍimādatan ʿala-l-jurḥ

He put a bandage on the wound.
يَحْتَرِقُ yaḥtariqu burn

الخشب الجاف يَحْتَرِقُ بسرعة.

al-khashab al-jāf yaḥtariqu bi-sur'a.

The dry wood burns quickly.
خَدَشَ khadasha scratch

خَدَشَتِ القِطَّةُ ذِراعي.

khadashat il-qiṭṭatu dhiraa'ee

The cat scratched my arm.
صَدَمَ ṣadama bump

صَدَمْتُ رَأْسِي بِالْبَابِ.

ṣadamtu ra'sī bil-bāb.

I bumped my head.
نُدْبَة nudba scar

لَمَسَ النُّدْبَةَ القَدِيمَةَ.

lamasa an-nudbata al-qadeemah

He touched the old scar.
تَعَافَى ta'āfā recover

تَعَافَى مِنَ المَرَضِ تَمَاماً.

ta'āfā minal-maraḍi tamāman.

He recovered from the illness.
يَلْتَئِمُ yalta'im heal

الجُرْحُ العَميقُ سَيَلْتَئِمُ.

al-jurḥu al-ʿamīqu sayalta'im.

The deep wound will heal.
